When Science Attacks: 2nd-4th Grade

In our second level of When Science Attacks, students refine their observation and description skills, and introduce elements such as focused problem solving, utilizing key vocabulary, practicing simple writing tasks, reading comprehension, and emphasizing community and group collaboration. Students in this class will develop an enthusiasm for nature and animals and will be encouraged to think about how their actions can affect positive change for our planet.   

Wednesday Classes:
10:30 am – 12:00 pm
1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

Thursday Classes:
10:30 am – 12:00 pm
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Fees: $80 per semester (8 classes), $150 for the entire school year

Must be a FOTZ member to enroll

Please Note: In accordance with CDC recommendations and ordinances set in place by the Mayor of Kansas City, MO, all program staff and participants will be required to wear a face mask covering over the mouth and nose at all times, except when eating or drinking, or when outdoors and physically distanced from one another. This policy is for all program participants, regardless of age. We will continue to monitor the Kansas City Mayor’s policies as well as the CDC’s guidelines for children and make updates as appropriate.
