Service animals are welcome at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium if they meet the ADA’s definition of “a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability.” However, pets, emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not permitted for the safety of your animals and those in the Zoo's care. Please check in at Guest Relations with your service dog. See service animal map here.

Rides Alternate Access
Alternate Access Passes are intended to provide an inclusive Zoo experience to guests of all abilities. Passes are offered to guests requiring accommodations to access attractions so they do not have to wait in line. Please review the safety signage at each ride as additional restrictions may apply.

The free passes may be obtained from a rides manager by inquiring at any ride. Please review the safety signage at each ride as additional restrictions may apply. The pass permits the guest plus three other guests to use alternate access.
