Paint Rocks for Penguins

Join us for a rock-painting party! Did you know that penguins use rocks for courtship, building nests, and even protection for their eggs? A male penguin may search hours to find the perfect stone to present to a female. On Sunday,  April 19, guests can gather near Helzberg Penguin Plaza to paint pebbles for the penguins in our care. The fun begins at 10am and will last until 3 pm or we run out of rocks (the penguins can only use a limited number so one rock per person, please!) The decorated pebbles will be given to the penguins the following weekend for a World Penguin Day celebration on Saturday, April 25. A few of the tropical Humboldt penguins will also be participating in spring Penguin Marches on April 18, 19, and 25 at 11 am in front of Helzberg Penguin Plaza.
