- After 2 pm, guests aged 16 and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old.
- Chaperones and guests age 17 and older must be prepared to present a valid government-issued photo ID that includes their date of birth upon request.
- One chaperone may supervise a maximum of six guests aged 16 and younger.
- Chaperones must accompany their charges during admission, remain on Zoo & Aquarium property, and be available by phone and in person for the duration of their stay.
- The Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium reserves the right to deny entry or require any guest to leave the premises for disruptive, unsafe, or disorderly behavior.
Field trips, private events, and Zoo events may have their own chaperone policy.
